I am looking in the direction of my desire, when Jesus is responding in my peripheral vision.

Perhaps I fell into the trap of cliché when I suggested that you “allow Jesus to be the host” in your prayer. How do I do that?

What if we were to see ourselves as a guest in our prayer rather than a host. What if Jesus is the host?

Prayer is hard. We want to pray, we set aside time to pray but prayer is often elusive. The good news: prayer is already happening in you.

In the Gospels we see Jesus inviting his new friends to accompany him on his journey from place to place, town to town, to follow him.

I invite the reader to think about their relationship with Jesus in the same way they think about and experience all their relationships.
