What makes the story of Jesus compelling and true for me, is that we would never think up this kind of life as the life of God.

In the Gospels we see Jesus inviting his new friends to accompany him on his journey from place to place, town to town, to follow him.

I invite the reader to think about their relationship with Jesus in the same way they think about and experience all their relationships.

When we use our imagination in prayer we follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

There was no escape from Jesus’ invitation to become his friend. It was right there in Scripture!
